golang-collectd-dev software package provides Utilities for using collectd together with Golang, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-collectd-dev
golang-collectd-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-collectd-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-collectd-dev *
You will get with golang-collectd-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
