gnome-settings-daemon-schemas software package provides gnome-settings-daemon schemas, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-settings-daemon-schemas
gnome-settings-daemon-schemas is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-settings-daemon-schemas package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-settings-daemon-schemas *
You will get with gnome-settings-daemon-schemas package name, version, architecture and description in a table
