gddccontrol software package provides program to control monitor parameters (graphical interface), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gddccontrol
gddccontrol is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gddccontrol package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gddccontrol *
You will get with gddccontrol package name, version, architecture and description in a table
