fs2ram software package provides tools to preserve tmpfs contents across reboots, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fs2ram
fs2ram is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fs2ram package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fs2ram *
You will get with fs2ram package name, version, architecture and description in a table
