fonts-maitreya software package provides Astrological font for Maitreya, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-maitreya
fonts-maitreya is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-maitreya package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-maitreya *
You will get with fonts-maitreya package name, version, architecture and description in a table
