debugedit software package provides tool to mangle source locations in .debug files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install debugedit
debugedit is installed in your system.
Make ensure the debugedit package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep debugedit *
You will get with debugedit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
