How to Install catkin software package in Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

catkin software package provides Low-level build system macros and infrastructure for Robot OS, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install catkin

catkin is installed in your system.

Make ensure the catkin package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep catkin *

You will get with catkin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
