bumblebee-nvidia software package provides NVIDIA Optimus support using the proprietary NVIDIA driver, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bumblebee-nvidia
bumblebee-nvidia is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bumblebee-nvidia package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bumblebee-nvidia *
You will get with bumblebee-nvidia package name, version, architecture and description in a table
