biometryd-bin software package provides biometryd mediates/multiplexes to biometric devices - daemon/helper binaries, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install biometryd-bin
biometryd-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the biometryd-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep biometryd-bin *
You will get with biometryd-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
