beast2-mcmc software package provides Bayesian MCMC phylogenetic inference, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install beast2-mcmc
beast2-mcmc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the beast2-mcmc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep beast2-mcmc *
You will get with beast2-mcmc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
