alsamixergui software package provides graphical soundcard mixer for ALSA soundcard driver, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install alsamixergui
alsamixergui is installed in your system.
Make ensure the alsamixergui package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep alsamixergui *
You will get with alsamixergui package name, version, architecture and description in a table
