libkopete-dev software package provides development files for the Kopete instant messaging and chat application, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkopete-dev
libkopete-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkopete-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkopete-dev *
You will get with libkopete-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
