libkml-java software package provides Library to manipulate KML 2.2 OGC standard files - Java package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkml-java
libkml-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkml-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkml-java *
You will get with libkml-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
