libjreen-dev software package provides powerful Jabber/XMPP library (Qt4 build) - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjreen-dev
libjreen-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjreen-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjreen-dev *
You will get with libjreen-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
