libjlayer-java software package provides library to decode, convert and play MP3 files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjlayer-java
libjlayer-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjlayer-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjlayer-java *
You will get with libjlayer-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
