libjellyfish-2.0-dev software package provides count k-mers in DNA sequences (development files of jellyfish), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjellyfish-2.0-dev
libjellyfish-2.0-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjellyfish-2.0-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjellyfish-2.0-dev *
You will get with libjellyfish-2.0-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
