libhmat-oss-dev software package provides headers and development libraries for HMat, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhmat-oss-dev
libhmat-oss-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhmat-oss-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhmat-oss-dev *
You will get with libhmat-oss-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
