libgroupsock8 software package provides multimedia RTSP streaming library (network interfaces and sockets), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgroupsock8
libgroupsock8 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgroupsock8 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgroupsock8 *
You will get with libgroupsock8 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
