How to uninstall or remove libgrooveplayer4 software package from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgrooveplayer4 package itself from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgrooveplayer4

Uninstall libgrooveplayer4 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgrooveplayer4 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgrooveplayer4

Use Purging libgrooveplayer4

If you use with purge options to libgrooveplayer4 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgrooveplayer4

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgrooveplayer4
