libgnome2.24-cil software package provides CLI binding for GNOME 2.24, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgnome2.24-cil
libgnome2.24-cil is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgnome2.24-cil package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgnome2.24-cil *
You will get with libgnome2.24-cil package name, version, architecture and description in a table
