libglpk-dev software package provides linear programming kit - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libglpk-dev
libglpk-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libglpk-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libglpk-dev *
You will get with libglpk-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
