libglobus-ftp-client2 software package provides Globus Toolkit - GridFTP Client Library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libglobus-ftp-client2
libglobus-ftp-client2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libglobus-ftp-client2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libglobus-ftp-client2 *
You will get with libglobus-ftp-client2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
