libgit2-glib-1.0-dev software package provides glib wrapper library around the libgit2 git access library - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgit2-glib-1.0-dev
libgit2-glib-1.0-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgit2-glib-1.0-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgit2-glib-1.0-dev *
You will get with libgit2-glib-1.0-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
