libgaviotatb1 software package provides Gaviota chess endgame tablebase probing library (development package), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgaviotatb1
libgaviotatb1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgaviotatb1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgaviotatb1 *
You will get with libgaviotatb1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
