libecpg-compat3 software package provides older version of run-time library for ECPG programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libecpg-compat3
libecpg-compat3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libecpg-compat3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libecpg-compat3 *
You will get with libecpg-compat3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
