libdwarf-dev software package provides library to consume and produce DWARF debug information, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdwarf-dev
libdwarf-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdwarf-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdwarf-dev *
You will get with libdwarf-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
