libdouble-conversion-dev software package provides routines to convert IEEE floats to and from strings (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdouble-conversion-dev
libdouble-conversion-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdouble-conversion-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdouble-conversion-dev *
You will get with libdouble-conversion-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
