libdogleg-dev software package provides Powells dog-leg nonlinear least squares solver for sparse matrices, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdogleg-dev
libdogleg-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdogleg-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdogleg-dev *
You will get with libdogleg-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
