libdb5.3 software package provides Berkeley v5.3 Database Libraries [runtime], you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdb5.3
libdb5.3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdb5.3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdb5.3 *
You will get with libdb5.3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
