libcvs-perl software package provides object oriented Perl interface to the CVS command, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcvs-perl
libcvs-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcvs-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcvs-perl *
You will get with libcvs-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
