libconfig-tiny-perl software package provides Read/Write .ini style files with as little code as possible, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libconfig-tiny-perl
libconfig-tiny-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libconfig-tiny-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libconfig-tiny-perl *
You will get with libconfig-tiny-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
