libcompute-dev software package provides cross-platform C++ library for GPU computing, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcompute-dev
libcompute-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcompute-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcompute-dev *
You will get with libcompute-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
