libbox2d2.3.0 software package provides 2D physics engine, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbox2d2.3.0
libbox2d2.3.0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbox2d2.3.0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbox2d2.3.0 *
You will get with libbox2d2.3.0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
