libboost-mpi-python1.58-dev software package provides C++ interface to the Message Passing Interface (MPI), Python Bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libboost-mpi-python1.58-dev
libboost-mpi-python1.58-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libboost-mpi-python1.58-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libboost-mpi-python1.58-dev *
You will get with libboost-mpi-python1.58-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
