libblosc1 software package provides High performance meta-compressor optimized for binary data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libblosc1
libblosc1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libblosc1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libblosc1 *
You will get with libblosc1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
