libapm1 software package provides Library for interacting with APM driver in kernel, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libapm1
libapm1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libapm1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libapm1 *
You will get with libapm1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
