lftp software package provides Sophisticated command-line FTP/HTTP/BitTorrent client programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lftp
lftp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lftp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lftp *
You will get with lftp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
