js2-mode software package provides Emacs mode for editing Javascript programs (dummy package), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install js2-mode
js2-mode is installed in your system.
Make ensure the js2-mode package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep js2-mode *
You will get with js2-mode package name, version, architecture and description in a table
