jetty8 software package provides Java servlet engine and webserver, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jetty8
jetty8 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jetty8 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jetty8 *
You will get with jetty8 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
