jamnntpd software package provides NNTP Server allowing newsreaders to access a JAM messagebase, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jamnntpd
jamnntpd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jamnntpd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jamnntpd *
You will get with jamnntpd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
