istgt software package provides iSCSI userspace target daemon for Unix-like operating systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install istgt
istgt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the istgt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep istgt *
You will get with istgt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
