isc-dhcp-client software package provides DHCP client for automatically obtaining an IP address, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install isc-dhcp-client
isc-dhcp-client is installed in your system.
Make ensure the isc-dhcp-client package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep isc-dhcp-client *
You will get with isc-dhcp-client package name, version, architecture and description in a table
