How to uninstall or remove ipython3-qtconsole software package from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

You can uninstall or removes an installed ipython3-qtconsole package itself from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove ipython3-qtconsole

Uninstall ipython3-qtconsole including dependent package

If you would like to remove ipython3-qtconsole and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ipython3-qtconsole

Use Purging ipython3-qtconsole

If you use with purge options to ipython3-qtconsole package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge ipython3-qtconsole

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ipython3-qtconsole
