$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ipmitool 

ipmitool is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ipmitool package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ipmitool *

You will get with ipmitool package name, version, architecture and description in a table

ipmitool package basic information:
