ink software package provides tool for checking the ink level of your local printer, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ink
ink is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ink package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ink *
You will get with ink package name, version, architecture and description in a table
