influxdb-dev software package provides Transitional package for golang-github-influxdb-influxdb-dev, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install influxdb-dev
influxdb-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the influxdb-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep influxdb-dev *
You will get with influxdb-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
