imgtex software package provides provides yet another math-on-the-web solution, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install imgtex
imgtex is installed in your system.
Make ensure the imgtex package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep imgtex *
You will get with imgtex package name, version, architecture and description in a table
