ibus-gtk software package provides Intelligent Input Bus - GTK+2 support, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ibus-gtk
ibus-gtk is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ibus-gtk package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ibus-gtk *
You will get with ibus-gtk package name, version, architecture and description in a table
