hyphen-ru software package provides Russian hyphenation patterns for LibreOffice/OpenOffice.org, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hyphen-ru
hyphen-ru is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hyphen-ru package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hyphen-ru *
You will get with hyphen-ru package name, version, architecture and description in a table
