hunspell-fr-comprehensive software package provides French dictionary for hunspell (comprehensive version), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hunspell-fr-comprehensive
hunspell-fr-comprehensive is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hunspell-fr-comprehensive package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hunspell-fr-comprehensive *
You will get with hunspell-fr-comprehensive package name, version, architecture and description in a table
